Who We Are

AMOROUS ART is an event created by BRIDGE Collective, an arts based organization creating cultural capital in their Indianapolis, Indiana community since 2002.

During the early 2000’s,Mike Graves, co-founder of BRIDGE Collective, was, on several occasions, a selected artist for the Seattle Erotic Arts Festival. Mike attended this event and started to create a long-term goal to build an internationally known erotic arts event in Indianapolis. Knowing several local artists who created erotic artwork, he knew he needed to create an exhibit space for this work and the community that supports it.

Mike credits his friendship with Jennifer Kaye, and her work producing the 2004 Erotic Arts Ball in Indianapolis as an important influence.

BRIDGE Collective is steadily focused on continuing to build this annual event and the Amorous Art brand.

MEET THE AMOROUS ART TEAM

MIKE GRAVES Contemporary American artist Mike Graves has been living and producing art and music in Indianapolis for the last 30 years. A long-standing champion of the Indianapolis Arts Community, Mike is a highly prolific painter and deejay, manages First Fridays at the Murphy Arts Center, is the lead curator of CITY NATIVES GALLEY.  Mike is a visionary leader and the catalyst for the Amorous Art event.

SHANNON KAY WILSON Shannon is the BRIDGE Collective Arts Administrator, CITY NATIVES GALLERY manager and event manager for Amorous Art. Her ever-present dedication to all our projects is key.

JEFF JEFFRIES Jeff is a fine art and commercial photographer by trade and has long been a friend and associate of many BRIDGE Collective projects. For Amorous Art, Jeff works on set-design and lighting, art installation and breakdown, and event security. We value his eye for design, and collaborative ideas.

FĒI In 2018, Shannon & Mike met the multi-talented artist and designer Fēi. Back then, we would see her at various arts events with her Styled by Fēi vintage clothing rack and doing curated studio photo sessions.  We thought she and her art would be a great addition to our Amorous Art event.  Since 2021, Fēi has produced the Unspoken Desires Fashion Experience, a fashion show during Amorous Art that is like none other.  A true entrepreneur, Fēi also runs Future Friends HMC gallery space in the Murphy Arts Center, Fēi Vintage and Purpose Projxs.

RACHEL SCHWEBACH When we started to talk about producing an erotic art show in Indianapolis, word on the street was we MUST collaborate with Rachel Schwebach.  That proved to be great advice; Rachel is an excellent photographer with an affinity and absolute talent for boudoir photography.  She is also a Master of the Art of Shibari.  Her shibari performances have taken our event to the next level, and we are honored to work with her.
